Simone Biles

Simone Biles was an American gymnast who was born on March 14, 1997 in Columbus, Ohio. She is considered by many to be one of the most outstanding athletes. Biles was the only U.S. female gymnast, Biles was the only one who won four gold medals in the same Games during the 2016 Olympics. She is also the first person to win three consecutive world championships. Biles was born in Spring Texas. Her grandparents Ronald Biles (and her sister Adria) adopted them. They grew in the metropolitan areas of Houston. Simone was first able to show an interest in gymnastics when she was an infant on a field trip to school to Bannon Gymnastix. Aimee Borman was her coach throughout the next eleven years. Biles won the vault and floor exercises at the 2010 Women's Junior Olympic National Championships before moving up to the highest level of competition in 2011. Two years after that, Biles dominated the sport. Her consistency, her vivacious personality and the level of challenge for her four events- vault uneven bars balance beam floor exercise as well as floor exercises -- helped to set her out from the rest of the athletes.
